Community Brokerage Services, Inc. (CBSI) and all employees at CBSI recognize the importance of protecting personal privacy for our individual customers. We firmly believe it is our obligation to keep your information secure and confidential. We continually review our privacy and security/insurance practices and have developed a set of guidelines that we follow.

Security Standards
We maintain security standards designed to prevent unauthorized access to customer information and have adopted procedures that limit access to your information. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.

Collecting Information
In the course of doing business and providing services to our customers, we collect, retain, and use information. This includes certain “nonpublic” information that we may obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information may include information about your investments, income, net worth and Social Security number.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

• Information from applications or other forms
• Information about your transactions with us
• Information we receive from third parties such as service providers (fund companies, clearing firm)

We collect, use and retain customer information to transact business with you, to protect and maintain security for both you and CBSI, and to provide and offer products and services to you.

Sharing Information
Your personal financial information is not shared or distributed to anyone except as permitted by law. We may share the information as described below with financial service providers:

• When you request or authorize us to do so;
• When completing transactions initiated by you, or to conduct our day-to-day business operations;
• When providing information to a clearing firm, fund companies, or insurance companies as a part of standard business practices;
• When required or permitted by law or regulation or to protect and enforce our legal rights.

It is our policy to require that these third parties and outside service companies agree to safeguard your confidential information, and to abide by all applicable laws and regulations.

Additionally, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described above if you decide to close your accounts or become an inactive customer.
